Shriner’s Event - On Saturday, March 31, 2007 Shriner's, with the sponsorship of Nur Shine provided free health screenings to children with physical disabilities at La Esperanza Community Center. The purpose of these health screenings were to identify physical challenges for children from birth to the age of 18 who suffer from burns, birth deformities, or hip and joint problems. Children who were accepted for free treatment at Shrine Hospital for Children in Philadelphia were provided with transportation from Nur Shrine volunteers.
